Welcome to
Araba Africa.
Hi there! My name is Antoinette Gyan, and I am on a mission to inspire African women to pursue their dreams.
I started my professional career life as a social worker within the development sector working in various communication roles with NGOs.
For over six years, I worked on various development issues relating to children, women and young people. I worked in very rural and hard to reach communities in Ghana and Sierra Leone, meeting community members and sharing my life with them and sharing theirs.
Working within the corporate sector can be very daunting with incredible deadlines often leaving very little time to balance work and life.

I know first-hand, what it is like to feel stuck within the ‘hustle’ trying to survive and stay afloat.
I also know the joy in being inspired to pursue your dream every day.
On this journey, I have dared to pursue my passion with courage, and I invite other women who are feeling unmotivated, not using all their skills or feeling underpaid to join this movement to a fulfilling life. To turn their passion into their purpose.
This is my dream.
To inspire a community of women to make the world better.
